Kitchen Printing
Get the most out of your Kitchen Printers
In this section we attempt to show some a few of the printing options available through Dinerware. Please
keep in mind that this is a limited list on display for website purposes, there are many more options
available.
Print Choices in Red
Within Dinerware, there are options for setting things up so that items will print in red on the Kitchen
printer.
To set up items to print in red:

With Dinerware, the kitchen printer may be customized to print the order in many different ways.

(If Soups & Salads should go to one printer while Entrees should go to a different printer, this is where
that configuration may be made.)
Any printer can take on multiple roles
If a problem should occur with a printer, Dinerware allows for a fall over to other printers. Dinerware will
make several attempts to communicate with a printer, but if it continues to fail, it has been designed to
switch to the alternate printer.
Dinerware is one of only a couple POS Systems on the market that requires the printer to send back an
acknowledgement that it received a job. This is important as it insures that no tickets are lost. In many
systems, work is sent to a printer, whether that printer is able to function or not.

Print Choices in Red
Within Dinerware, there are options for setting things up so that items will print in red on the Kitchen
printer.
To set up items to print in red:
- Click the Menu button in the Management screen.
- Select the Choice Sets button in the Menu, Revenue, and Tax Setup window.
- This will not open a new window, but will change the information displayed to the right.
- Highlight an existing Choice Set and click Edit, or click New to create a new Choice Set.
- Within the Edit Choice Set window, select Choices in this set print in red function.
- All Choices that are part of this Choice Set will be printed in Red in the kitchen.
Alternatively, individual choices may also be set up to print in red.
- Select the Choices button in the Menu, Revenue, and Tax Setup window.
- This will not open a new window, but will change the information displayed to the right.
- Highlight an existing Choice and click Edit, or click New to create a new Choice.
- Within the Edit Choice window, select This Choice prints in red function.
- Any time this choice is selected, it will be printed in Red in the kitchen.

- In the Printers window, select the Kitchen printer and then select Edit

- Person (Items ordered by each person at the table)
- Ticket order (No change from the way it was entered by the server)

- It will print the Seat position next to each item
- It will only print selected Items and/or Choices.
(If Soups & Salads should go to one printer while Entrees should go to a different printer, this is where
that configuration may be made.)
