This is a full explanation of the choices screen.
This is the name you want it to appear as in the kitchen. |
Enter the SKU number you'd like to use here. |
Enter the amount that it costs to make the item. This will allow Dinerware to perform cost / sales performance analysis. |
This checkbox allows the user to activate or deactivate this choice from appearing in the Order Entry Screen |
This allows choices to have their own price. Either as a fixed amount, like $0.50 cents for a side of horse radish, or as a percentage, like 60% for a half sandwich choice.
Warning: These price modifiers may be overridden by choice set settings. |
These are the fixed amount / percentage amount entry boxes for #6. |
If this is checked, the choice set price will never be used for this choice even if the choice set is set to override choice pricing. |
This forces the printer to print this particular selection in red. Warning: Printing everything in red is just as bad as printing everything black; messages may still be missed. |
This designates which printers a choice will be sent to.
Example: In a restaurant / bar, a server places an order for a chicken basket and a Coors Light. The kitchen doesn't need to know about the Coors and the bar doesn't need to see that the customer ordered the chicken. By selecting the printers, which this menu item will print on, Dinerware streamlines the process. |
This indicates what choice sets this choice should be displayed under in the Order Entry window. |
Some choices will need their own choice sets.
Example, a menu item includes the choice set called sides from whichever the server selects the choice of baked potato. Because a baked potato may have different toppings, an additional choice set must be available with its own set of choices.
Warning: Be sure to think things through when using this feature as it is possible to get into a loop if you setup choices with choice sets that lead back to choices, etc. |
