This is a full explanation of the jobs screen.

This is the name of the job.
Some jobs may require extra descriptions. This is where you would enter that information.
This checkbox allows the user to activate or deactivate a job from being available for assignment.

Warning: As jobs may be associated with multiple employees, setting a job to an inactive status should only be done after verifying that no employee is associated with it.
Base pay rate. (The starting pay rate for all employees in this job)

Note: If an employee should be performing the same job, but at a different rate than the one listed, please go to management > employees > select a user to edit > jobs > edit jobs > to access the edit pay rate window.
Overtime pay rate. (This is calculated automatically)

Note: If an employee should be performing the same job, but at a different rate than the one listed, please go to management > employees > select a user to edit > jobs > edit jobs > to access the edit pay rate window.

Logs in and out normally - When the employee enters their pin, they will open to the Order Entry Screen 3.x.

Logs in normally to list views - When the employee enters their pin, they will open to the list view Order Entry Screen 3.x. This is primarily for delivery, bartender, or cashier.

Logs in and does not autologout - When the employee enters their pin, they will open to theOrder Entry Screen 3.x, but the Order Entry Screen 3.x will not close out and return the employee to the login window automatically.

Logs in directly to the personal page (dishwasher mode) - When the employee enters their pin, they will open the personal page and will not have access to the other screens of Dinerware. This is primarily for jobs like dishwashers or cooks.
This allows an employee to have access to the fast pay button in the Order Entry Screen 3.x. **
This allows an employee to have access to the list view button in the Order Entry Screen 3.x. **
This allows the system to know if the given employee is a bartender. If the employee is a bartender, some choice sets do not need to be answered by the bartender.

Example: An employee is ordering a martini, so the menu item is martini, next comes the choice set to determine what type of martini is being ordered. It is required for most employees as the bartender won't know what kind to make if it is not specified, but if the bartender is taking the order, there is no need for them to take the additional steps to record what type of martini was ordered.
This allows the system to hide tickets that have already paid, but still require a tip to be hidden. **

Example: A bartender is extremely busy and doesn't have time to enter the tips, this way, they may just hide those tickets until things slow down.
This is designed for delivery drivers, but may also be used by cashiers. It allows tickets to be transferred to the person logged in just by scanning them, instead of needing to use the 'transfer tickets to me function'. A barcode scanner is required.
This is designed to work in conjunction with the 'transfer ticket when barcode is scanned' function. It causes the delivery address and any comments to be printed when the ticket is transferred. It can also be used in conjunction with the transfer tickets to me function.
This is used for people like dishwashers who do not claim tips when they clock out.
This allows an employee to have access to the all tickets button in the Order Entry Screen 3.x. **
This allows an employee to hold items.

Example: The employee gets the whole order from the customer, and wants to enter it all into the system so it's there, but doesn't want everything to go through at once, they can hold selected items back, so they can send things like appetizers first.
Advanced Button ... This will take you into the advanced section for taxes.
This would be the default section for this job.

Example: Bartender job would have the default section of bar.
This one is really important. Anyone who is associated with the job will print to all of the selected printers. This can cause some confusion when an employee is not familiar with the concept. If a printer is selected, all items set to print on that printer will print each time. This can also be changed in Printers > the Select Printer > Edit
This feature activates 2 options. The job may only be associated with one of the two in #21
Reopen last ticket closed - This will place a button at the bottom of the Order Entry screen called reopen last.

Print last ticket closed - This will place a button at the bottom of the Order Entry screen called print last.
This feature will only work if the employee has access to all tickets. Access to all tickets is granted in the edit user information and security privileges windows where the user must have a check in the all users tickets security settings. These 3 options further refine what a user can do with the access.

Operate as a cashier - When this option is selected, tickets will be transferred to this employee and will remain with the employee. The cashier is then responsible for tipping out the individual servers at the end of their shift.

Operates as a manager - When this option is selected, transactions on tickets will remain with the server even though the ticket is being closed out by the manager.

Do not allow payments on other users tickets - This option will allow other users to view tickets, but they cannot take payments on tickets that don't belong to them.
When this option is not selected, the given button will not show up.
