This is a full explanation of the tax screen. The further down you can break your taxes, the easier your overall accounting will be.



This is the name that will be used to describe the tax.
This is the figure to be used for this tax.
This checkbox allows the user to set or remove a tax from being active in the system.
The radial buttons may be used to indicate whether this is a flat fee or a percentage that should be applied, in conjunction with #2.
Hidden taxes are included in the price of a menu item and do not display on receipts.

Example: $3.00 for a beer ordered at a bar is hidden, $3.16 for the same beer is not hidden.
When this selection is made, any ticket that only has Liquor will not have this tax applied. However, as soon as a menu item from a revenue group other than liquor is added to the ticket, this tax will apply to the entire ticket.
When this selection is made, any ticket that only has liquor will have this tax applied. However, the tax will be included in the price of the liquor and will not be broken out separately on receipts.
This function is used when a tax should only apply if the total of the selected revenue class is greater than the number entered into the threshold field.
Threshold field for #8.
Taxes are applied to every item individually; this feature rounds up the fractions of the cents after the tax is applied.

WARNING: This function was not designed to work with US tax laws. It does not round up fractions of a cent after taxes on the entire ticket. It can send tax reporting way off and should not be used without consulting your Dinerware Representative.
When this box is checked, this tax will be applied to the automatic gratuity as well as the actual sale.
This is used when the tax should be applied to all times, regardless of circumstances.
Used for foreign currency. This tax will be applied in addition to other existing taxes. This tax applies to all items.
This function is used when a tax should only apply if the total per person is greater than the number entered into the threshold field.
Threshold field for #14.
These are the menu items that this tax affects. This is for specific menu items not all items.
These are the revenue classes this tax affects. This is for entire groups of items such as: food, beer, wine, etc.
