Article ID: 37
Last updated: 07 Nov, 2011
This is a full explanation of the system tickets button.

This checkbox tells Dinerware to use sequence numbers on tickets.
This is the entry field for #1 ... enter where you want to start the ticket sequence at.
If this is checked, anytime the ticket is paid in full it is closed. If the box is notchecked, the system will cause a box to appear in the payment screen asking whether the ticket should be closed or not.
If this is checked, it will allow the transfer of tickets that have either partial payments or are awaiting a tip.
These radial buttons allow you to choose what to display on the ticket, either the balance due or the net sale amount.
Sort open tickets by...

Alphabetical by table - Organizes the list alphabetically based off table names.

Oldest first - Organizes the list based off the timestamp of the table, oldest first.

Newest first - Organizes the list based off the timestamp of the table, newest first.
When checked, this box causes Dinerware to sort the list of tickets by owner first, then by the selection from the above list.

Note: This sort feature only applies to all ticket mode.
Each time a new ticket will be opened through the use of the new ticket button, the sections screen will open automatically. If this is not checked, a new ticket will open.

Note: An employee may still be required to use the sections window before they may send a ticket to the kitchen, depending on the other settings in the system.
If this is checked, it will prompt for a table selection before the employee can register a payment.
If a ticket has a promise time, this will offset set that time by however many minutes you put in this box.
This section allows the user to setup options for automatic gratuities. This box represents the number of people required before the automatic gratuities will set in.

Note: This will apply even if you split the ticket.
This section allows the user to setup options for automatic gratuities. This box represents the percentage amount that will be automatically applied.
If this is checked, Dinerware will base the autogratuity on the net sale instead of the gross sale.
I'm not sure if this is a dollar figure or a percentage. This is the entry field for #13.
Tickets Naming Button ... these are your options for ticket naming.
Tickets Reopening Button ... these are your options for ticket reopening and transfers.
